Public/Legislative Affairs
The MCUA Public/Legislative Affairs department provides legislative and communications support for member credit unions. Our responsibilities include:
- Lobby state and national lawmakers
- Help draft state and federal credit union legislation
- Monitor bills and gauge their impact on credit unions and members
- Develop MCUA communications and marketing
- Write Missouri Courier, Missouri Difference e-newsletter, and other MCUA publications
- Assist with credit union media needs
- Promote credit union events and issues
- Organize and track CUPAC/CULAC fundraising
- Coordinate awards programs
MCUA Wins Bronze Quill Award
MCUA Public/Legislative Affairs received a Bronze Quill Award in 2009 from the International Association of Business Communicators’ (IABC) St. Louis Chapter. MCUA received an Award of Merit, in the Wild Card category for its redesign and writing of The Missouri Difference.
